Learn more about the many elements of clean energy at the ComEd Smart Energy Hubs. With two great locations in Chicago and Rockford, students and learners of all ages can engage with interactive exhibits to learn how energy interacts with your daily life and how to contribute to a clean energy future.

Initiatives

The lessons, discussions, and activities throughout this experience support a STEM-based curriculum by emphasizing key concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Group Size

Due to space limits, the Smart Energy Hub experience is best for groups of 5 to 32 students both for the Chicago and the Rockford locations with 1 chaperone per 8 students.

This field trip alligned well with our 4th grade unit “Energy Conversions”. The facilitator, Vanessa, was very engaging and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The students thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on stations. Even the parents commented on what a nice job ComEd did in creating the program and the space. The agenda was very organized and paced well.
